Nigeria could host Miss Universe 2025 if Adetshina wins – Ben Bruce
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, Chairman of the Silverbird Group, announced that Nigeria will host the 2025 Miss Universe pageant if Chidimma Adetshina, the newly-crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, secures the title in this year’s competition.
In an X statement on Tuesday, September 3, Bruce assured that Silverbird Group will dedicate all necessary resources to ensure Nigeria is the host nation for the prestigious event in 2025.
He emphasized that the difficulties encountered during Nigeria’s bid to host Miss World in 2002 would not be repeated. Bruce stressed that it is time for Nigeria to reaffirm its position on the global stage.
Bruce wrote on his X handle: “If Chidimma Adetshina clinches the @MissUniverse crown, rest assured, The Silverbird Group will spare no expense or effort to bring the next Miss Universe pageant to Nigeria in 2025. We’ve learned from the past—those who remember our attempt to host Miss World in Nigeria in 2002 know the challenges we faced.
“But let me make this clear: what happened then will not repeat itself. Nigeria is set to reclaim its rightful place on the global stage, and there isn’t a force on earth that can stand in our way.”
According to NIGERIANS ONLINE, Chidimma Adetshina recently won the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant after resigning from the Miss South Africa competition due to scrutiny over her nationality.
