Niger Tornadoes boss provides crucial update on Okoro’s injury status
Niger Tornadoes’ technical adviser, Majin Mohammed, offered a vital update on midfielder Victor Okoro’s injury, shedding light on his absence from the team.
On Friday, November 29, Mohammed revealed that Okoro had been left out of the team’s trip to Yenagoa due to a minor knock. The seasoned coach clarified that the player had played in the previous home match against Ikorodu City but was visibly exhausted, which led to the decision to rest him for the away fixture.
“Victor Okoro suffered a minor knock in Maiduguri, he featured in our home game against Ikorodu City but we realised he is exhausted, that’s why we rested him for the trip to Yenagoa,” Mohammed shared with Niger Tornadoes media.
He added, “Hopefully, he would be back for the weekend.”
The absence of Okoro was felt during Niger Tornadoes’ heavy 4-1 defeat to Bayelsa United earlier in the week, according to reports from Daily Post.
