Nasboi embarks on 36-state kneeling campaign to get Davido’s verse

Fast-rising Afrobeats star Nasboi has launched a nationwide campaign to secure a verse from music icon Davido and he’s taking an unorthodox route to make it happen: kneeling across Nigeria’s 36 states.
The singer kicked off the campaign in Osun State, where he was photographed holding a placard outside the State Government Secretariat, pleading with Davido for a feature. In an Instagram post, Nasboi declared that he would kneel in each state over a span of 36 days to gain the attention of the Grammy-nominated artist.
“In 2019, I started mimicking Davido to get his attention for my music, but the videos blew me up as a comedian. I am back to plea with 001. Bless me with a verse for this song king,” he wrote.
The campaign has since moved to its second stop Kano State where Nasboi shared a new photo holding his placard in front of the State Government House.
Davido has reacted to the plea with a lighthearted “set up” and a laughing emoji, following a surge of fan tags urging him to respond.
The unusual publicity move has drawn widespread attention and curiosity among fans, many eager to see if Nasboi will follow through with his 36-state promise and if Davido will eventually grant his wish.
Nasboi, signed to Eminent Music, has gained prominence for his hit singles such as Umbrella featuring Wande Coal, Small Money, and Could This Be Love featuring Chike. His debut project INIT featured heavyweight collaborations with 2Baba, Pheelz, Falz, and Chike, earning him a Next Rated nomination at the 17th Headies Awards.
A verse from Davido could mark another major leap in the singer’s fast-growing career.
