My ideal woman is slim-thick, and beautiful – Victony
Afrobeat sensation Anthony Ebuka Victor, popularly known as Victony has opened up about his ideal woman.
According to the singer, his ideal woman is of average weight, beautiful, and independent.
He disclosed this in a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos.
“My ideal woman is slim-thick. And she has to be beautiful. That’s it,” he said.
“Mentally, I like a boss lady, strong and independent. She has her own thing going on and can handle the lifestyle of a superstar.”
Victony recalled meeting American pop star Billie Eilish at the Golden Globe Awards and how she complimented him.
“At the Golden Globe Awards, Billie Eilish walked up to me and said I look really good,” he recalled, blushing.
The Afrobeat singer started his music career in 2017 by releasing a mixtape on SoundCloud titled “The Outlaw King”.
Victony hails from Orsu local government in Imo state and studied B.Eng in Petroleum Engineering, at the Federal University of Technology Owerri (F.U.T.O).
Victony started off solely as a rapper and later honed his skills and developed a more dynamic artistry that allows him to perfectly swing between different genres such as RnB, Trap & Afropop and express the extent of his versatility.
In 2021, Victony was involved in a car accident that almost claimed his legs and had him in a wheelchair for months. Despite this setback, Victony managed to put out several acclaimed singles during the year including ‘Pray’ and the Mayorkun hit collab ‘Holy Father’. He also collaborated with Grammy-winning producer Rexxie to release a dance capsule, ‘Nataraja’.
He made headlines after releasing his highly anticipated single ‘OHEMA’ featuring an impressive lineup of 14 superstars, including Ayra Starr, Odumodublvck, and Rema.
The single also incorporates the exceptional talents of Babyboy AV, Bella Shmurda, Blaqbonez, Bloody Civilian, Crayon, Lojay, Magixx, Oxlade, Qing Madi, and YKB.
With such an array of superstar talents, the track delivers an explosion of melodies sure to have listeners spellbound.
Last month, Victony joined forces with Grammy-nominated artiste, Asake, to deliver their latest track, ‘Stubborn’.
This somber yet musing track serves as the first single from Victony’s highly anticipated summer 2024 album, also titled ‘Stubborn’.
Best known for his global crossover hit ‘Soweto’ featuring Don Toliver and Rema, ‘Stubborn’ not only showcases Victony’s musical maturity and range as an artist, but also highlights his influential role in shaping this rising generation of African talent and contributing to the global ascent of Nigerian music.
With a recent sold-out show in Uganda and a rapidly growing international fanbase, Victony continues to soar as one of Africa’s brightest musical exports. His impact is evident, as the artist currently ranks as the third most streamed Nigerian artist on Spotify in 2024.
