Real Madrid set to extend Toni Kroos for one year

Spanish giant Real Madrid looks set to extend midfield maestro Toni Kroos to June 2025, Fabrizio Romano reports.

The Italian journalist announced this in a post on his X page.

Real Madrid has opened contract negotiations with the Germany international, as his current contract expires June this year.

The 34-year-old has had a very good season, helping the LaLiga club to a position where they look set to win the current league campaign, and helping them also to a UEFA Champions League quarterfinal place so far.

Kroos has provided eight assists in the league, scoring one goal. In the just concluded international break, he provided two assists, with one against France and another against Netherlands.

Romano expects this to be a straightforward negotiation process.
