Manchester United hit with another major injury ahead of Premier League opener
Manchester United will be without left-back Luke Shaw for their first three Premier League matches.
The club announced on Tuesday, August 13, that Shaw is dealing with a calf injury sustained during training.
Shaw, who hasn’t featured for United since February, did play a role in England’s run to the Euro 2024 final. The 29-year-old is now aiming to return after the first international break in September.
“Luke Shaw will miss the opening games of the Premier League season due to a calf injury sustained at the start of pre-season training,” the club’s statement read. “He is working diligently on his rehabilitation with the goal of being available after the first international break.”
