Manchester United defender Mazraoui sidelined after heart procedure
Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui is facing time on the sidelines following a heart procedure, as reported by ESPN.
Mazraoui was substituted at halftime during United’s 0-0 draw against Aston Villa on Sunday. Subsequently, he withdrew from the Morocco national team ahead of the international break due to experiencing heart palpitations.
He has now undergone a corrective procedure and is expected to be out for several weeks. Club sources have indicated that Mazraoui’s condition is “relatively common,” and the operation has been classified as “minor.”
This is not the first time Mazraoui has dealt with heart issues; he was sidelined for three months while with Bayern Munich in 2023 due to complications related to COVID-19.
