Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, is looking to strengthen his team by signing 25-year-old French midfielder Youssouf Fofana from AS Monaco.
Fofana is currently in talks with Italian club AC Milan, but Man United is trying to persuade him to join their team instead.
This is not the first time Manchester United has shown interest in Fofana. He was approached last year but chose to stay with Monaco.
If Manchester United succeeds in signing Fofana, it would be the second time this summer they have beaten AC Milan to a player’s signature, having already signed Joshua Zirkzee.
