Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes suffered a horrific injury to his finger that forced him off the pitch.
This injury came in Man City’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against FC Copenhagen yesterday, March 6 at The Manchester City Stadium in Manchester, England.
In the 70th minute when Man City were already leading 3-1, Nunes chased down a player to try to win the ball back for his team, unfortunately he fell and landed awkwardly on his finger, causing the middle finger to bend backward at the knuckle.
The image of the horrific injury was shown only once during broadcast, which was enough. The broadcasters made sure to show the replay of the incident from alternate angles, as is custom, to spare the viewers the horrific sight.
Nunes arrived at Man City at the beginning of this season for €62,000,000. He was at Wolves for a year, before he arrived, having made the €45,000,000 move there in August 2022.
