Layi Wasabi reveals the funniest thing about himself

Popular Nigerian comedian and skit-maker, Isaac Olayiwola, widely known as Layi Wasabi, has revealed what he finds particularly amusing about himself his height.
In an interview with Punch Newspapers’ Saturday Beats, Layi stated that while he cannot pinpoint the funniest thing about himself, one aspect that always makes him smile is his “unassuming height.”
“People are often surprised by how tall I am when they meet me in person. It’s hilarious because this ‘unexpected’ height reflects in my skits, particularly in the way I sometimes position my body for comedic effect,” he explained.
Beyond discussing his personal humor, Layi also shared a message for fans who may be feeling down. He recommended checking out Instagram pages like his own and that of fellow comedian Kiekie for uplifting content.
“There are countless ways to lift your spirits when you’re feeling low. You could check out my Instagram page or Kiekie’s for a dose of fun. There’s so much content out there to brighten your day—just go out and find what makes you happy,” he advised.
Additionally, the comedian expressed his admiration for Nigerian singer Iyanya, revealing that he is a “huge fan” of the Kukere hitmaker. Layi recently met Iyanya at a press conference for the upcoming season of Nigerian Idol and described it as a memorable experience.
“Meeting the stars was definitely a highlight for me. I am a huge fan of the new judge, Iyanya, and it was wonderful to see him in person again. The passion of the team behind Nigerian Idol is commendable,” he said.
