Lawyer confirms Speed Darlington’s arrest linked to Burna Boy
Prominent lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju has confirmed the arrest of rapper Speed Darlington, who had been reported missing since Friday, October 4.
Adeyanju disclosed that the rapper was apprehended in Lagos and subsequently transferred to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
In a series of posts on his X account on Tuesday, October 8, Adeyanju shared details of his conversation with Speed Darlington, stating, “We just spent the last 30 minutes with Speed Darlington, and he narrated how he was arrested in Lagos on Friday last week, moved around, and eventually brought to Abuja. The petition against him was written by Burna Boy, we can confirm.”
This development follows allegations from Speed Darlington’s mother, who accused Burna Boy and his team of being involved in her son’s disappearance. Prior to his arrest, Darlington had posted a video on social media questioning the authenticity of Burna Boy’s Grammy award and drawing connections between Burna Boy and the controversial American singer Diddy.
