Kwankwaso vows to win 2027 presidential election, criticizes PDP

Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and its 2023 presidential candidate, has expressed strong confidence in his ability to win the 2027 presidential election.

Kwankwaso made this assertion during the inauguration of the NNPP Secretariat on IBB Way in Katsina.

Kwankwaso, who was in Katsina to offer condolences to the Yar’adua family following the death of Hajiya Dada, outlined his vision for the party and the nation’s political landscape. He claimed that the NNPP is well-positioned to take over the presidency, state governorships, and other political positions in the upcoming elections.

“The NNPP is heading towards success in the 2027 General Elections,” Kwankwaso declared. He criticized the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating, “The PDP is already dead. Since they have gone out of line, we decided to check out.”

In his address, Kwankwaso urged Nigerians, particularly women and youth, to resist being swayed by material incentives or false promises in future elections. He emphasized the importance of genuine commitment and integrity in the political process.

Kwankwaso also praised the party’s leaders and stakeholders for their efforts in renovating the state secretariat, describing it as a crucial step in preparing for the party’s future successes. Additionally, he pledged support for Abubakar Ibrahim, a young boy from Yammawa area suffering from severe acute malnutrition.

Alhaji Armaya’u Abdulkadir, NNPP’s state Chairman, highlighted the party’s efforts to educate the electorate about the new party logo, which symbolizes a commitment to education—a cause close to Kwankwaso’s heart. He stressed the need for grassroots sensitization to ensure that party members understand the significance of the new logo and its associated values.
