Ivan Toney gets £15.5m offer; Arsenal forward completes move away
Brentford striker Ivan Toney has reportedly been offered a lucrative contract by Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, with the deal valued at £15.5 million per year.
According to Foot Mercato, Al-Ahli is proposing a three-year contract for the England international.
Toney’s current deal with Brentford is set to expire next summer. His impressive performances have attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
In related news, Arsenal has confirmed the departure of forward Cloe Lacasse from their women’s team. Lacasse will complete a permanent transfer to Utah Royals in the USA.
Arsenal announced on their website: “We can confirm that Cloe Lacasse has left Arsenal to complete a permanent transfer to Utah Royals in the USA.”
Lacasse joined Arsenal from Benfica in the summer of 2023 and made her debut in their 3-0 victory over Linkoping FC in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Round 1 qualifier on September 6, 2023.
She has also represented the Canada Women’s National Team in the 2024 Olympics, 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup, and the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
