Israel intercepts most drones launched from Iran after strikes on military, nuclear sites

Israel’s military spokesman, Brigadier General Effie Defrin, said on Friday that Israel intercepted “most” of the drones launched by Iran in retaliation for Israeli airstrikes on military and nuclear sites.
“Earlier, we alerted about a large-scale drone launch targeting our territory. Most of the targets were intercepted,” Defrin said during a press briefing, following the army’s announcement that Iran had launched around 100 drones toward Israel.
“The Israeli Air Force continues to operate to intercept unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran toward the State of Israel,” the military said in a statement issued shortly before Defrin’s comments.
In what marks Israel’s largest military action against Iran to date, the airstrikes reportedly hit around 100 targets, including nuclear facilities and military command centers. The attack killed senior figures, among them Iran’s armed forces chief and several top nuclear scientists.
