Isma’il Gali Falke is set to be named the new captain of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club Shooting Stars.
Falke will take over the role from Waheed Omololu, who departed the club after his contract expired.
The 22-year-old right-back served as the second assistant captain for Shooting Stars last season and has been with the team since 2021. He also led the Oluyole Warriors during pre-season matches.
To date, Falke has made 58 league appearances for the team under coach Gbenga Ogunbote.
