Ikeja Electric announces 25-day power outage in parts of Lagos

Ikeja Electric has announced that parts of Lagos State will experience daily power outages for 25 days, beginning July 28 and ending August 21, 2025.
The company disclosed this in a notice shared via its official social media accounts on Friday.
According to the statement, the daily outages will occur between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to allow the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to carry out scheduled maintenance on the Omotosho–Ikeja West 330kV transmission line.
“Please be informed that Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will carry out scheduled maintenance on the Omotosho-Ikeja West 330kV transmission line from Monday, July 28 to Thursday, August 21, 2025, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily,” the notice stated.
“During this period, customers may experience intermittent power supply and load shedding across our network due to the planned TCN outage.”
Residents in the affected areas are advised to make necessary arrangements ahead of the disruptions.
