Hansi Flick blocks Eric Garcia’s move away from Barcelona

On Thursday, April 3, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick made it clear that he was not ready to let defender Eric Garcia leave the club during the last transfer window.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared the news on his X account, revealing that Garcia had received an offer from Serie A club Como. The deal was almost finalized, with Barcelona set to receive €7 million and travel/medical arrangements already in place.

However, Flick intervened, stating, “Eric García had an offer from another club, but I told him that I needed him.” As a result, Garcia stayed with Barcelona, despite the nearly completed transfer.

This decision comes just after Barcelona’s victory over Atletico Madrid in their Copa del Rey semi-final match on Wednesday.
