On Thursday, March 27, legendary Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku made a startling revelation about some of his colleagues in the movie industry, claiming that a number of them were “diabolical” and involved in blackmail.
Anuku opened up about his personal experiences and the challenges he faced in Nollywood during an interview with fellow actor Emma Labista on the Nollywood Hardcore podcast. Speaking candidly, Anuku described the darker side of the industry, revealing that envy and jealousy led to attempts to sabotage his career.
Labista asked Anuku, “What is your relationship with your colleagues?”
In his response, Anuku reflected on the ups and downs of life and the entertainment industry: “In life, we must always keep space for falling down and standing up again. There was a bit of diabolism in the industry.”
He continued, “Some people were diabolical, some were envious and jealous of my shine then. I was blackmailed.”
