Ganduje: APC youths sound warning bells ahead of 2027 election
The APC Youth Solidarity Network, has urged the party to be on the alert over what it described as attempts by internal enemies to destabilize the party ahead of the 2027 general election.
This warning comes in response to the recent failed attempt to oust the national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, May 21, Prince Danesi Momoh, the national coordinator, urged President Bola Tinubu to take decisive action to stop enemies from bringing down the party.
He drew parallels with a similar situation in 2013/2014, when anti-party agents conspired against then-PDP National Chairman Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, leading to the party’s defeat in the 2015 polls.
Momoh stated, “We initially led protests against Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and called for his removal. We submitted a protest letter to the President through the National Secretary, citing his suspension by his council ward in Kano State.
“We were brainwashed that the only way to save our party, is by mobilizing for the removal of the National Chairman, in order to avoid Zamfara treatment, where the party won all elections, but our votes were later awarded to the opposition by the Supreme Court.”
He emphasized that despite the rejection of the suspension by the Ganduje Ward Executive and the discovery that those involved were not APC members, some individuals continue to vent their frustrations due to perceived lack of patronage by the Tinubu administration.
“History has shown us the dangers of silence in the face of internal sabotage. We urge President Tinubu to rise to the challenge and ensure Ganduje remains as national chairman to prevent a repeat of the 2015 scenario.”
