Flavour reveals he was asked to end his performance for P-Square
Nigerian high-life artist Chinedu Okoli, known as Flavour N’abania, recently shared an anecdote about being asked to stop his performance so P-Square could take the stage.
Flavour recounted this moment during an appearance on the ‘In My Opinion’ podcast.
He began his musical journey as a choir conductor and drummer in his church, but his career took a significant turn following an encounter with the popular music duo, P-Square.
Flavour explained, “I remember a time when P-Square had just released ‘Temptation.’ They were promoting a show and the promoters brought them to the City Centre in Enugu, where I was performing.
“At that venue, I had built a strong fan base; my shows were always packed, regardless of what was happening in Enugu.
“When P-Square arrived, the manager said, ‘Hello, off that thing,’ meaning I had to stop my performance. I handed over the microphone and took a seat. When Paul of P-Square took the microphone and sang, ‘This na temptation,’ the crowd went wild.”
