FG announces public holidays for Eid-el-Fitr celebrations

On Wednesday, March 26, the Nigerian government made an exciting announcement: Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, will be public holidays to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.

Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of the Interior, shared this announcement with everyone on behalf of the government.

He congratulated all Muslims for successfully completing their fast during Ramadan and encouraged them to continue practicing kindness, self-control, and generosity. He also reminded everyone to embrace peace, love, and forgiveness, which help to create a happier and more peaceful society.

In a message from Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, the Minister invited all Nigerians to pray for the peace, stability, and prosperity of the country during this special time.
