Philippe Diallo, president of the France Football Federation (FFF), has expressed strong support for Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé as a deserving candidate for this year’s Ballon d’Or.
Dembélé, 28, has been one of the season’s standout performers, scoring 25 goals since the start of 2025 and playing a key role in PSG’s historic clean sweep of major trophies.
PSG secured the Ligue 1 title, UEFA Champions League, Coupe de France, and the Trophée des Champions in an exceptional campaign.
“He is perhaps the favourite,” Diallo told Le Figaro in an interview.
“Ousmane Dembélé has had an exceptional season.
“I am delighted that we (France) have two players (Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé) who should at least be on the podium, and that Dembélé deserves to win this trophy.”
