FIFA WCQ: Zimbabwe reveals squad for Super Eagles clash

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Zimbabwe head coach Michael Nees announced a 23-man squad for the team’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin Republic and Nigeria.
Key players included in the squad are Udinese defender Jordan Zemura, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Marshall Munetsi, and experienced forward Walter Musona, who is making a return to the national team after retiring in 2022.
However, Captain Marvelous Nakamba was left out of the squad due to injury.
The Warriors will first face the Cheetahs of Benin Republic at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Thursday, March 20. They will then travel to Uyo to take on the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Tuesday, March 25.
Currently, Zimbabwe sits at the bottom of Group C with two points from four games.
