2Baba responds to missing person’s report amid public controversy

Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has addressed the recent missing persons report filed by his mother to the Department of State Services (DSS), seeking assistance in locating him. The report, which raised public concern, claimed that the family was unaware of the singer’s whereabouts.
Despite being seen in public multiple times since the report was made, 2Baba finally spoke out on the matter during a performance at a comedy show. In a sarcastic tone, the singer joked about the situation, saying, “Allegedly I have been missing. Allegedly I have been kidnapped. So as we come Acapella show, this show is to generate money for the kidnappers to release me.”
The controversy has also sparked public scrutiny, particularly regarding 2Baba’s relationship with his new partner, Natasha Osawaru. Natasha had previously addressed rumors suggesting she was keeping 2Baba against his will. She clarified that 2Baba, being an adult, had made the choice to be with her and dismissed claims that a bead he wears is diabolical.
Their relationship has become a topic of public debate, with comedian Justice Nuagbe, aka Ushbebe, recently calling for national prayers for 2Baba. Ushbebe expressed discomfort with how 2Baba follows Natasha around, comparing his behavior to that of a schoolboy. The comedian urged the singer to “free himself” from what he perceived as Natasha’s influence, while humorously calling for prayers for the “legend.”
Despite the public attention and backlash, 2Baba and Natasha have continued to appear together, maintaining their stance amidst the ongoing scrutiny.
