Enzo Maresca refuses to rule out departure of Chelsea midfielder

In a recent statement, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has left the door open for midfielder Conor Gallagher’s potential departure from the club. Gallagher has caught the attention of top European clubs, including Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.

Maresca’s comments suggest that while Gallagher is expected to return to training, his future remains uncertain. “At the moment, Conor will be back with us at Cobham in the next few days. He will train with us,” he said. “The transfer window is open. Anything can happen, not only with Conor but for all the players.”

Atletico Madrid is reportedly negotiating a significant package worth at least €35 million, including add-ons, for the England midfielder. Maresca’s cautious approach indicates that Chelsea is open to negotiations, leaving Gallagher’s future at the club uncertain.

As the transfer window progresses, fans will be watching closely to see if Gallagher will remain a Chelsea player or make a move to a new club. Maresca’s statement highlights the fluid nature of the transfer window, where anything can happen until the deadline.
