Doyin David vows never to return to BBNaija after harsh reality show experience

Big Brother Naija star Doyin David has made a firm vow to never again grace a Nigerian reality show with her presence, citing the impact the experience had on her mental health and the way she was portrayed.
In a candid discussion about her time on the BBNaija show, Doyin opened up about the challenges she faced, explaining that her participation had a significant negative effect on her mental well-being. She expressed frustration with the Nigerian public’s tendency to be judgmental, stating that no matter the incentive, she would never return to the reality show scene in Nigeria.
In a viral video shared on Trendupp Africa, Doyin said, “My experience being on a reality show was mad. Very, very crazy experience. I will never do it again in my life, not for any amount. Except it is a show outside the country.”
She went on to accuse the show’s producers of deliberately editing footage to misrepresent her, stating that the version of herself shown to viewers was crafted to fit a particular narrative. “They portray you the way they want to. They have given everybody an impression of you that is not really true,” Doyin claimed.
Acknowledging that the portrayal led many to form false perceptions of her personality, she added, “A lot of people think some things about my personality, that is not really who I’m at all. But Nigerians are too judgmental, so I’m not blessing them with my presence ever again.”
