Do2dtun reacts to 2Face’s apology video, says singer is being exploited

Popular On-Air Personality (OAP), Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, widely known as Do2dtun, has voiced concern over singer 2Face Idibia’s recent public apology following backlash to his controversial statement about male sexual commitment.

In a video broadcast earlier this week, 2Face apologised to his wife, Natasha Osawuru, and his children after claiming that “men are not built to be sexually committed to one woman.” The statement drew widespread criticism, prompting the singer’s public retraction.

Reacting in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, Do2dtun claimed that 2Face was pressured into apologising and is currently being manipulated during a vulnerable period.

“Please, I don’t like this 2Face I’m seeing. Something is not right at all,” Do2dtun wrote. “He can express himself how he chooses to, but why always make him retract a video or make an apology like a child? He is vulnerable, and someone is milking it. Whoever is holding that camera is wicked.”

He continued, “Someone is forcing him to be who he is not. 2Face hardly addresses anything. Even in his worst of worst scandals, he never addresses anything like this. Something is wrong. He is regressing, and I hate it.”

Do2dtun defended 2Face’s initial comment, stating that it reflected his personal truth and should not have sparked such harsh criticism. He argued that while the apology video may have served a purpose, it appeared to be more about serving others’ interests than protecting the singer’s brand.

He concluded by urging that 2Face “needs help” and should consider therapy to address the deeper issues he may be facing.
