Deco confirms PSG made move for Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal last season

Barcelona director Deco has revealed that French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) made an attempt to sign young sensation Lamine Yamal last season.

The move came after the 17-year-old’s impressive performances, which helped Spain win the Euros during the summer.

Speaking to RAC1, Deco confirmed the rumors about PSG’s interest in Yamal, stating, “Yes, last season, not this one yet, but what we want is for him to stay. We don’t want to listen to offers, PSG asked, but Real Madrid didn’t.”

Deco, a former star for both Barcelona and Chelsea, emphasized that Barcelona had rejected every offer for the rising talent and had no intention of selling him.

Yamal has since proven himself further, helping Barcelona win La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa de España this season, cementing his place as one of the brightest prospects in world football.
