Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has announced that he served as the executive producer on his close friend Cubana Chief Priest’s upcoming song, ‘More Money’.
Cubana Chief Priest had earlier teased the track in an Instagram reel on March 27, offering fans a snippet of what to expect from his debut album, ‘CP No Small’. In the video, the nightlife entrepreneur could be seen vibing to the beat, building anticipation for the song’s release.
Confirming Davido’s involvement, Cubana Chief Priest captioned the post, “The Legend Himself Made Sure We Made A Classic,” crediting the Grammy-nominated singer for ensuring the track met top industry standards.
Davido has now affirmed his role, revealing that the song will be released on Cubana Chief Priest’s birthday. “I executively produced CP’s new song, which is coming out on his birthday. I sat him there and directed him well,” Davido wrote.
Cubana Chief Priest has been a longtime supporter of Davido, frequently expressing his love and loyalty to the singer. On Davido’s 32nd birthday last year, he publicly promised to stand by him for life, while in October 2024, he celebrated being a member of 30BG following an announcement by Davido’s father about a new business venture.
As the release date for ‘More Money’ approaches, fans eagerly anticipate the collaboration between the socialite and the Afrobeats superstar, marking another milestone in their long-standing friendship.
