Cynthia Morgan fires back at Peter Okoye over revived label dispute

Singer Cynthia Morgan, also known as Madrina, has responded to Peter Okoye of the P-Square duo after he mentioned her in a recent social media post amid a public fallout with his brothers.
Peter, in an Instagram post on Wednesday, accused his twin brother Paul Okoye and their elder brother Jude Okoye — their former manager — of betrayal and theft. In expressing his frustration over the ongoing legal tensions with them, he referenced past conflicts involving former signees, including Cynthia Morgan and MayD.
Peter wrote:
“Exactly what I was talking about: their publicist doing everything to make me look like a liar. I’m not MayD or Cynthia Morgan. I’m PETER OKOYE, the one and only ROCK/OKWUTE of the Okoyes. The truth shall prevail. #UnaThiefAbiUnaNoThief #FamilyDoesNotStealFromFamily.”
Reacting via her Instagram story, Cynthia Morgan expressed discomfort over her name being dragged back into the long-standing feud.
“I have mixed feelings about my name popping up like this. I’m not a weak person. Certain family members made it look so. @peterpsquare included. Until you found out what they were doing to you too. Na me listen to una sha,” she wrote.
Cynthia Morgan had a highly publicized fallout with Northside Entertainment — the label run by the Okoye brothers — which led to her exit from the music scene for a period. The dispute at the time centered around allegations of contractual exploitation and mismanagement.
Her recent response suggests lingering resentment and a desire to distance herself from the renewed family drama.
