Argentina has been so dominant in this competition that it has only conceded one goal in the whole tournament. This has meant that the World champions have not needed many goals to win games so far. However, Scaloni’s men have not come up against formidable attacking sides, having faced Canada, Peru, Chile, and Ecuador so far.
For Colombia, the man wearing the No. 10 shirt would be crucial to its silverware hopes, as this is not familiar territory for Nestor Lorenzo’s men.
Colombia has been the much better attacking side of the two in this final, with Lorenzo’s men winning two games by more than two goals so far. A feat Argentina has yet to manage.
Rodriguez has been on fire for his country so far, creating an outrageous 3.4 chances per game, and 5 big chances so far in five games. He would be instrumental to Colombia’s title hopes.
Of course, the reigning Ballon d’Or holder, Lionel Messi, has been even more impressive, unsurprisingly, having created 3.8 chances per game, providing seven big chances in four games.
Scaloni has to worry about dealing with Rodriguez tonight, and Lorezno, of course, has to worry about dealing with Messi, but that goes without saying.
