Confusion at PDP secretariat as Anyanwu returns as National Secretary after Supreme Court ruling

On Friday, March 21, there was confusion at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat when Samuel Anyanwu returned to office as the National Secretary following a Supreme Court ruling.
A viral video shared by DAILY POST showed Anyanwu, accompanied by his supporters, thanking God and PDP leaders for the victory at the Supreme Court. “I thank my leaders and PDP faithful across the country who stood by the truth,” he said in the video.
This came after the Supreme Court delivered a judgement that nullified the rulings of the Court of Appeal and Federal High Court, which had previously removed Anyanwu from his position as National Secretary. Justice Jamilu Tukur, who delivered the judgement, struck down the decisions made in October and December of the previous year.
However, moments after the ruling, a statement from the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, caused confusion by stating that the Supreme Court had instead upheld Samuel Udeh-Okoye as the rightful National Secretary.
This conflicting interpretation of the ruling has only added to the ongoing chaos within the opposition party.
