Comedian Lasisi expresses nostalgia for former President Buhari amid economic struggles
On Wednesday, October 16, Nigerian comedian Lasisi Elenu stirred conversations on social media by expressing his longing for former President Muhammadu Buhari amidst the current economic hardships in the country.
Known for his humorous takes on societal issues, Lasisi, whose real name is Nosa Afolabi, shared a voice note he sent to Buhari, in which he was nearly in tears as he conveyed his feelings of missing the former leader. In the voice note, he stated, “I’m not sending you this message on behalf of anyone.
I think I owe it to myself and my family. I never thought I would be here doing this at this time. First, I don’t even know how to say this. I miss you. God help me na die I dey.”
Since Buhari left office in May 2023, many Nigerians feel that the situation in the country has worsened, particularly regarding the economy.
