Chelsea joins fierce race to secure Victor Osimhen as European giants, Saudi clubs make big offers
On Wednesday, May 28, reports emerged that Chelsea is among three prominent European clubs competing to sign Nigerian international Victor Osimhen during this summer’s transfer window.
According to respected Turkish journalist Yakup Çınar, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Galatasaray are all eager to secure the services of the Napoli striker on a permanent basis.
Osimhen’s next destination remains uncertain amid mounting interest. Çınar also revealed that two lucrative offers have come from Saudi Arabian clubs, adding another dimension to the player’s decision-making process.
“There are currently PSG, Chelsea and Galatasaray possibilities on the table,” Çınar told habersarikirmizi. “There are also two big offers from Saudi Arabia. The decision is awaited.”
All three European clubs interested in Osimhen—Chelsea, PSG, and Galatasaray—are set to compete in next season’s UEFA Champions League, heightening the appeal for the striker.
Separately, Galatasaray has reportedly given Osimhen a week to decide whether he will commit his long-term future to the Turkish side or return to his parent club, Napoli, following the expiration of his season-long loan in June.
