Charly Boy advises celebrities to keep their private lives private

Famous Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has shared advice with Nigerian celebrities, encouraging them to keep their private lives out of the public eye.
Charly Boy gave this advice during an interview on TVC, where he reacted to the recent marital troubles of Nigerian stars 2baba and Annie Idibia.
He explained that celebrities should try to keep their personal problems private, rather than airing them out for everyone to see. “I feel sorry for the couple [2Face and Annie Idibia]. It’s unfortunate. But my advice would be, can we just keep our business private, away from the public?” he said.
The singer, who is in his seventies, added that social media has made things more complicated, but celebrities still have control over what they share. He went on to share his own approach to relationship struggles, saying, “I’m not talking from a saintly perspective. I have had quarrels with my partner but we settle in the room privately.”
Charly Boy then emphasized that airing private issues in public isn’t a good idea. “You don’t bring it outside to the public to settle. I think that’s wrong because if I were to stop living with my wife today, nobody would know about it. I won’t make noise about it,” he said.
Charly Boy’s comments are a reminder that privacy in relationships can help maintain peace and avoid unnecessary drama.
