Champions League: Sol Campbell warns Arsenal about Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior

On Monday, April 7, former England defender Sol Campbell expressed concerns over Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior, warning that the Brazilian forward could “expose” Arsenal in their upcoming Champions League quarter-final clash on Tuesday.
Arsenal secured their place in the quarter-finals after a dominant 9-3 aggregate win over PSV Eindhoven. Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid advanced following a penalty shoot-out victory over Atletico Madrid.
This match will be the first meeting between the two sides in the Champions League since March 2006. Despite not being at his best in front of goal, Vinicius has still managed to score 11 goals and provide five assists in 24 La Liga appearances this season. Additionally, he has netted seven times in 10 Champions League matches.
Campbell, speaking to Metro via bet365, warned Arsenal to be wary of Vinicius’ potential threat. “They have to be conscious of Vinicius’ threat on the left side,” Campbell said. “Jurrien Timber has done a great job on that right side but you can’t leave him alone in too many one-on-one scenarios because there are only a few guys in the world who are better in those types of situations than Vini.”
He added, “He will expose you, so Timber – or maybe (Ben) White – will need help on that side.”
