CAN celebrates Bishop David Oyedepo at 70, honors his legacy

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has celebrated Bishop David Oyedepo, founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel), on his 70th birthday, calling him a “legend of faith.”

In a statement, CAN highlighted Oyedepo’s unwavering commitment to spreading the Gospel and his transformative leadership over the past seven decades.

The association noted his significant contributions to Nigeria’s socio-economic development, empowering millions through his ministry and promoting spiritual growth, education, and social upliftment.

Archbishop Daniel Okoh, President of CAN, praised Oyedepo’s tireless efforts and impactful teachings on faith, prosperity, and resilience. He emphasized how these teachings have provided hope during Nigeria’s challenging times and reinforced the Church’s essential role in addressing national issues.

Okoh stated, “As we honor Bishop Oyedepo today, we acknowledge his profound impact on the Christian community in Nigeria and beyond. His visionary leadership has inspired millions to seek a deeper relationship with God.”

He also emphasized Oyedepo’s role in promoting love, unity, and faith, encouraging a new generation of Christians to actively spread Christ’s message. “His life serves as a shining example of the power of faith in action,” Okoh added.
