Burna Boy’s alleged girlfriend Chloe Bailey unfollows him amid sex-for-lambo scandal
The fallout from the “sex-for-Lambo” controversy surrounding Nigerian singer Burna Boy has begun, as his alleged American girlfriend, Chloe Bailey, has unfollowed him on Instagram.
The controversy erupted on Thursday after an audio recording surfaced online, featuring Nigerian socialite Sophia Egbueje claiming that Burna Boy had slept with her but failed to fulfill his promise of buying her a Lamborghini.
In response, Burna Boy posted a freestyle video on social media Friday, dismissing the allegations with lyrics stating, “If you are not getting me, forget about it. I no buy Lambo; is that why you are shouting?”
Chloe Bailey initially appeared unbothered by the drama, posting a cryptic message on social media saying, “Everything is working out for me 
.” However, her subsequent action of unfollowing Burna Boy suggests otherwise.
Burna Boy and Chloe sparked dating rumors in December 2024 after they were seen together in a private section of a club in Nigeria. Their relationship seemed confirmed in February when Burna Boy gifted Chloe a matching Rolex watch during a romantic dinner in Lagos.
Meanwhile, Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze weighed in on the controversy, criticizing both parties. He urged women to stop “selling their bodies for luxury items” and questioned men who entertain such demands. “Burna Boy, correct guy, you try. Burst them,” he added.
In a new twist, Sophia Egbueje announced on Saturday that she had finally acquired her dream car. Posting a video of a Lamborghini being delivered to her house, she insisted that she bought it herself and referred to it as her “baby” while adding an angry emoji in her caption.
As the drama unfolds, Burna Boy has yet to issue a direct statement addressing the allegations.
