Burna Boy brings energy to Los Angeles concert, previews new music
Nigerian music superstar Burna Boy delivered an electrifying performance at the Peacock Centre in Los Angeles on October 23, 2024.
The sold-out “Headliners Only” concert saw Burna Boy share the stage with American-Senegalese music icon Akon, thrilling fans with his signature Afrobeats sound.
The Grammy-winning artist’s setlist featured a medley of chart-topping hits, but the highlight came when he previewed an unreleased track from his forthcoming album. This marks the second sneak peek into his upcoming project, following the earlier teaser of “Empty Chairs.”
Burna Boy’s 2024 has been marked by historic achievements. In February, he became the first African artist to perform at the Grammys main ceremony and earned a nomination as a lead artist outside of the Global categories at the 66th Grammy Awards.
Beyond his solo success, Burna Boy has made impactful collaborations this year. He lent his vocals to TiTom and Yuppe’s “Twala Bam,” catapulting the song to the top of the charts, and joined forces with Coldplay and Little Simz on “We Pray.” His sole 2024 single, “Higher,” spent multiple weeks atop the TurnTable Top 100, with its emotional music video resonating with fans.
As Burna Boy gears up for his next album, expected in 2025, anticipation builds. With his consistent delivery of critically acclaimed music and trailblazing achievements, fans eagerly await another groundbreaking project.
