Brymo accuses 2Face, Burna Boy and Davido of knowledge of 2019 cult pressure claim
Singer Brymo has accused his colleagues 2Face, Burna Boy and Davido of knowing about an incident in which he says he was lured and pressured to join a secret cult.
Brymo made the allegation during a recent interview on the Lahor Talk podcast. The remarks come one month after he responded to a Burna Boy diss-track line that mocked his career. In July 2026 Brymo had vowed to take revenge and said he did not care about any fraternity Burna Boy might belong to.
Asked whether he could forgive Burna Boy if the latter retracted the career slight, Brymo rejected the premise of an apology. He said he wants 2Face, Davido and Burna Boy to state publicly that they had nothing to do with what happened to him. According to Brymo, in 2019 he was lured to Chevron under the guise of being hosted and was then pressured to join a cult; he claims the names of the three artists were mentioned by those applying the pressure. He described 2026 as the seventh anniversary of the incident and said he would continue to raise the matter until they speak.
“I’m not asking for an apology. Just be a man and say, ‘Brymo, I have nothing to do with it.’ That’s what they have to say because as long as they don’t say that, they did it,” he stated.
The claim is a serious public allegation linking three of the industry’s most prominent figures to knowledge of a recruitment attempt. None of the three has been shown in the available material to have responded. Brymo frames silence as confirmation and demands an explicit denial rather than any expression of regret over subsequent musical disputes. Whether the accusation produces statements, legal responses or continued silence will shape how the dispute is remembered beyond the original career-related exchange.
