In a big shake-up on Thursday, December 12, 2024, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State made some important changes to his cabinet. The Governor announced that he had fired his Secretary to the Government, Abdullahi Bichi, and his Chief of Staff, Shehu Sagagi. Additionally, the Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam, was moved to a different ministry.
Governor Yusuf’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawkin Tofa, explained that Abdullahi Bichi was removed for health reasons. As part of the reshuffle, the Chief of Staff position was completely abolished.
