Bobrisky opens up about his mother’s death in Mecca, the aftermath

On Wednesday, March 26, controversial Nigerian crossdresser and socialite, Bobrisky, shared a deeply personal and emotional story about the passing of his mother in 2008 during the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

In a heartfelt post, which has since been deleted, Bobrisky recounted how his mother’s death unfolded just hours after a phone conversation where she entrusted him with the care of his siblings, should she not return home.

He wrote, “Mummy!!! Mummy!!! I missed calling you mummy. That alone breaks my heart into pieces. A lot happened after you left but we still thank God for life. I remember 28 October 2008, you called me and said Bobo omo mi, in case I don’t make it back to Nigeria please take care of your brother.”

Bobrisky revealed that in the same conversation, he questioned why it had to be him to take on such a heavy responsibility. His mother’s response was clear: “Because you feel that I’m stronger and have got thick skin.” Tragically, the very next day, Bobrisky learned that his mother had passed away in Mecca, leaving him with the daunting task of looking after his family, including his 87-year-old maternal grandmother.

“I took up your responsibility at a young age to take care of your mother till now. And today, she is 87 years and very healthy,” Bobrisky shared. He also spoke about his financial challenges, which began in 2024, but emphasized his commitment to his family’s well-being.

Bobrisky continued, “My elder brother is not comfortable like me, so I keep helping him because you told me to. He got married and has two kids. I am still the one taking care of them till date.”

Despite the hardships, Bobrisky expressed gratitude for the strength to continue, honoring his mother’s wish to care for his family. His story of resilience, love, and duty continues to resonate deeply with his followers.
