Big Brother Naija announces season 10 with record-breaking N150m prize

Organisers of the reality TV show Big Brother Naija have announced plans to premiere the 10th season this July, featuring a record-breaking grand prize of N150 million — the highest since the show began in 2006.

At a press briefing on Wednesday, the organisers revealed that fans’ favourite, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, will return as host for the new season.

Obi-Uchendu highlighted the show’s impressive history, noting that across nine seasons, there have been 197 housemates, 709 days of airtime, and a total of N637 million in prizes awarded.

Last season, themed “No Loose Guard,” introduced a fresh twist where contestants auditioned and entered the house in pairs, competing together before eventually facing off individually. Kellyrae made history by becoming the show’s first married winner, taking home the N100 million prize.

Season 10 is set to kick off with a two-day launch event, promising fans even more excitement and surprises.
