Bauchi government allocates N1bn for office infrastructure amid criticism of federal reforms
In the 2025 budget, the Bauchi State Government has set aside N1 billion for office infrastructure, with significant funds allocated for upgrading the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
A total of N400 million will be used to purchase six computers for the SSG’s office, while N170 million will go toward acquiring a generator to power the office. Additionally, the government has earmarked N1 billion for the purchase of land and the construction of office buildings.
This financial move follows criticism from Bauchi State Governor, Bala AbdulKadir Mohammed, who recently voiced concerns over President Bola Tinubu’s social and economic reforms. On Wednesday, Governor Mohammed called on an Islamic cleric who had supported Tinubu’s election to urge the President to pay attention to the suffering of ordinary Nigerians.
The Governor emphasized the need for the government to prioritize meaningful programs and prudent spending to alleviate the hardship faced by many citizens across the country.
