Arteta clears the air on Gabriel Jesus’ potential January exit from Arsenal
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has dismissed rumours suggesting that striker Gabriel Jesus could leave the club in the January transfer window.
Recent reports had speculated that the Brazilian international might return to Brazil due to a lack of regular playing time at Arsenal. Since joining from Manchester City, Jesus has struggled with injuries and fitness issues, which have limited his time on the pitch.
Ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Monaco, Arteta addressed the situation, saying, “Reports of Gabriel Jesus leaving and going to Brazil in January are nonsense. Like all strikers, they go through phases and moments. His attitude has been really good. We’re going to support him as much as possible.”
