APC Women gives scholarships to 3,700 girls
On Monday, August 26, Dr. Mary Idele-Alile, the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), announced a scholarship program for 3,700 girls. Each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory will have 100 girls awarded a three-year scholarship.
Idele-Alile said this initiative is her way of supporting education for underprivileged girls and giving back to society. The scholarships are offered in partnership with Heart Bible University and Seminary in the United States.
She explained, “The scholarships aim to support students who want to study IT Support, Project Management, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Cyber Security, UX Design, Counselling, and Psychology.”
The program will provide a three-year undergraduate scholarship for 100 girls in each state and the FCT, totaling 3,700 scholarships. To qualify, applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old and have at least six credits in GCE O-Level or NECO exams. While the primary focus is on girls, limited slots are also available for males within the age range.
