APC slams Atiku, Peter Obi, and El-Rufai, calls them failures who can’t manage their own affairs

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly criticized three high-profile political figures: Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Nasir El-Rufai, accusing them of incompetence and failing to manage their own political affairs.

In a statement released on Tuesday, January 29, 2025, APC spokesman Felix Morka said that these leaders, who have all run for high office, are unfit to lead and are more interested in stirring up trouble than offering real solutions for Nigeria.

Morka especially took issue with Atiku Abubakar’s recent comments about the involvement of the judiciary in Nigeria’s elections. “It is ironic that Atiku, Nigeria’s most prolific electoral litigator, would claim that judicial involvement in electoral matters is a threat to democracy,” Morka said. “His criticism of the courts and the electoral process rings hollow given his long history of using the courts to further his political agenda.”

He went on to call for Atiku to step back and let Nigeria’s democracy move forward without further interference. “We deserve better than petty politicking and alarmist rhetoric from an elder statesman,” he added. “Atiku should focus on rebuilding his party and offering constructive solutions to Nigeria’s challenges.”

Morka also dismissed the claims made by Atiku, Obi, and El-Rufai that APC may be involved in undermining opposition parties. “This is simply a failure on their part to manage their own affairs,” Morka stated. “They cannot govern their parties but tout their ability to govern Africa’s most populous country.”

The APC spokesperson concluded by urging Nigerians not to be distracted by what he called the desperate political tactics of those seeking to remain relevant as the 2027 elections approach. “As discerning citizens, Nigerians know better than to be distracted by false alarms and hollow allegations from these politicians,” Morka said.
