The All Progressives Congress (APC) has praised Nigerians for their resilience and patience in the face of what it described as the “transient difficulties” currently affecting the nation.
In a statement issued Thursday in Abuja to mark the 2025 June 12 Democracy Day, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, reaffirmed the APC’s full backing of President Bola Tinubu’s policies and restated its commitment to democratic governance.
“Democratic governance remains the best solution to Nigeria’s challenges, and this administration is putting democracy to work for the economy, peace, well-being, and security of all our people,” Morka said.
He acknowledged the hardships Nigerians have faced under Tinubu’s administration but commended citizens for their continued support and patience.
“We commend Nigerians for their patient support of President Tinubu’s administration and for enduring the transient difficulties faced,” he stated.
“As the President continues to tackle our national challenges at their roots, with evident signs of a steadily rebounding economy, we stand firmly with him and his administration’s valiant efforts to build a brighter future for all Nigerians.”
Describing June 12 as a moment of national pride, Morka said Democracy Day offers Nigerians the opportunity to reflect on the country’s democratic progress and honor those who sacrificed to end military rule and dictatorship.
He hailed President Tinubu as “one of democracy’s finest, fearless, and resilient champions,” and a “bold reformer” confronting the country’s deep-rooted structural challenges.
According to the APC, Tinubu’s reform agenda has delivered key milestones including:
