APC accepts Ganduje’s resignation, names Dalori acting chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday, June 30, officially accepted the resignation of its former National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, during the party’s 174th National Working Committee (NWC) meeting.
The meeting was presided over by Ali Bukar Dalori, who has now assumed the role of Acting National Chairman.
Ganduje had resigned the previous week, citing the need to focus on his health. On Monday, the NWC formally acknowledged his decision and expressed gratitude for his leadership during his time at the helm of the ruling party.
In a statement, the party conveyed its appreciation for Ganduje’s “outstanding leadership” and extended best wishes for his “speedy recovery and personal well-being.”
Dalori, in his remarks, emphasized party unity and pledged to work collaboratively with fellow NWC members to strengthen internal democracy and sustain the progress made under previous leadership.
“The APC remains a large and united family,” Dalori said, adding that his leadership would prioritize teamwork and party cohesion.
He also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as the President’s unwavering dedication to the party and to national development.
