Ancelotti provides injury updates on Alaba, Vinicius ahead of Real Madrid’s Girona clash
Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has offered the latest updates on the recovery of two key players, David Alaba and Vinicius Junior, ahead of the team’s La Liga match against Girona on Saturday, December 7.
Both Alaba and Vinicius have been sidelined due to injuries and missed Real Madrid’s 2-1 loss to Athletic Club in La Liga on Wednesday, December 4. However, the duo has returned to training as they look to make their way back to full fitness ahead of upcoming fixtures.
At his pre-match press conference on Friday, December 6, Ancelotti provided an update on their status.
“David Alaba is returning, but it will take one month to have him in good shape to play,” the Italian coach revealed. “He will be ready in January.”
Regarding Vinicius Junior, Ancelotti said, “Vinicius Jr will be ready for the game against Atalanta. He’s feeling better.”
